Comments In Overwatch Pornhub Video Really Diving Into Meta
“This is completely outrageous, and frankly, an insult to fans of the character,” writes Pornhub user BeenHereAllA_Schlong, commenting on a 3D-rendered POV video wherein the viewer performs oral services on Overwatch’s infamous hacker, Sombra. “Sombra is clearly a bottom.”
“Now, I know what you’re thinking,” the comment continues. “‘Sombra seems like a top due to her personality as a suave, conniving braggart,’ I hear you cry. But pay attention to her style of gameplay. Sombra dips in and out of combat, providing utility as a support-DPS. Pros used to play her as strictly a support before Blizzard changed the way her healing works. Sombra never takes a fight head-on, and I guarantee you that she goes back to Talon HQ and gets fucking railed by someone who does, like Doomfist.”
“Also, just look at her fingernails.”
This argument goes largely unchallenged and unnoticed in the comments for a number of weeks until finally, a lone contrarian arises to lock swords in a battle of wits.
“I hear what you’re saying, and you’re making some pretty valid points,” comments Sigmas_Shoes, “but keep in mind that the core conceit of Sombra’s playstyle is deception. Even her spot in both high- and low-skill metas is defined by her niche counterpick potential. Sombra is by no means a go-to pick, which is fine—not every character needs to be. But when she is the best choice for a comp, she can be played to devastating effect. Her power is often situational, but intentionally understated. Her being a bottom is exactly what she wants you to think.”
“It’s also interesting that you chose Doomfist as an example of a top for Sombra, when Sombra is perhaps Doomfist’s hardest counter. In my opinion, there’s no one more suited to show Doomfist who really runs Talon, if you catch my meaning.”
At press time, Jeff Kaplan was seen taking notes and nodding along sagely.
