Long Dead Druidic Order Pretty Hyped For Boomsday Release

Over the past few days, the Hearthstone community has expressed a great deal of respectful, uncritical concern about the state of the Druid class, prompted by the reveal of powerful new cards from The Boomsday Project: synergies created by cards such as Mulchmuncher and Landscaping threaten to launch Druid to a level of prominence not seen since almost every other expansion prior. However, while the majority opinion is one of calm and thoughtful skepticism, there are also those who are unambiguously excited for the upcoming expansion. While the largest of these groups are viewbots and ladderbots, thrilled to finally receive an appropriate level of AI representation, the most vocal would be the ancient voices of ghostly Druids, returning to the mortal plane for the first time since the Gallic Wars. Chief Druid Cathbad held an AMA yesterday that received over three hundred upvotes on r/UpvoteDruidHateForKarma, beaten out only by a photoshopped picture of Malfurion smoking a joint. In it, he made two things abundantly clear: his worldview was almost incomprehensibly racist and authoritarian to a modern human, and he was really hyped about The Boomsday Project. “Blizzard has done an excellent job portraying Druids in an accurate and respectful manner, such as how we changed into animals, animated trees, and killed spiders to summon a plethora of giant dragons,” commented the chief druid, who strangely enough, was not purple. “I genetically modify watermelons all the time, so seeing one that tutors for four cards just makes me smile.” Ignoring questions about Stonehenge, the functioning of Gaulish society, and the afterlife, Cathbad then discussed at length how the Druids could have repelled the Roman invasion and British Christianization if Spreading Plague hadn’t been nerfed. Ultimately, the community concluded that either way, the order should’ve coined out Wild Growth on turn one. Before disappearing once more beyond the veil of death, Cathbad made clear that while the current meta is arguably the best balanced, most interesting, and most varied meta of all time, it is also the worst, most annoying, and most restrictive meta of all time. Therefore, he hopes that The Boomsday Project will change everything, but also leave the game exactly the same.
