Oh, So There Is Fire Damage In This Game

Huh. You’d think it’s fair enough to say that in a game where you die falling off of a cliff, you’ll die standing in a big bonfire, right? But it’s, like, a magic game. I’m a mage. I’ve got my staff. I’ve got my fancy robes. Hell, I probably get to cast a fireball at some point. Why would some silly little bonfire hurt a master pyromancer? Who’s to say I can’t handle those flames like a champ? Or is this why they put a bonfire by the resurrection point in the first place? Are they taunting me? “Oh, you thought you were such a big man jumping off that cliff, testing our system, pushing our boundaries. Do you dare try it again?” So let’s try and read the rules of this game they’re playing. What would give them their kicks in this sick little world they’ve created? Me standing in this fire and getting charred to a crisp? Or would those sick fucks just love it if I walked right by it, this forbidden fruit, never getting a taste, never knowing, forever doomed to wonder what could have been? No. I’m throwing off these shackles. Here we go. Just like last time. Just a little tap of the W and I’m in there. Okay. So far so good—oh, no, nope, there it is. So there is fire damage in this game. Huh. Well… there’s a pond over there. I wonder if you can drown?
